Shannon Ritch, “The Cannon,” Calls Out Opponents and Promotions in Explosive Statement

Interview Controversial Fighter Speaks Out on His Career, Ducking Allegations, and Future Plans

Shannon Ritch, a veteran fighter in the world of bare-knuckle and mixed martial arts (MMA) with a record of 58 wins, 90 losses, and 4 no-contests, recently sat down for an exclusive interview to discuss his career, ongoing feud with fellow fighters, and his frustration with promotions, particularly Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). Known in the fighting community as “The Cannon,” Ritch didn’t hold back in addressing his concerns and calling out those he believes are avoiding fights with him.

Ritch, who competes in the heavyweight division, has been making headlines lately due to his allegations of fighters “ducking” him, particularly Dadda 5000 and everyone at BKFC. In the interview, he shared his side of the story.

“I won the international Super-fight title belt in Cancun, Mexico. I was told I’d be able to defend this title. To date, my phone does not ring. BYB talked to me about a possible fight vs. Dadda, and he agreed to fight, but still has not signed to do it. So far, it’s all talk,” Ritch stated when asked about his allegations of opponents avoiding him.

When pressed about why he believes fighters like Dadda 5000 might be hesitant to face him, Ritch responded, “100% Dadda is ducking me – we can fight anywhere, overseas, anywhere there is no commission because he is still suspended for some reason out of Texas.”

When asked for a comment about the accusation of ducking Shannon, Dadda responded in normal Dadda fashion with “Tell Shannon “The Fake Cannon that Don’t Shoot! I am with it. I will Ko him in the opening minutes and I guarantee after he wakes up weeks later to help him get the senior citizens, Willy Wonka, gold ticket the one with Extra AARP Special Retirement benefits cause he’s gonna need the rehabilitation after I get through with him And for the record, it’s only one Cannon I know and that’s Briggs! That’s the only cannon that have been in battle on the combat field!”.

Ritch’s frustration extends to BKFC, where he currently holds the belt in the heavyweight division. “I have the belt, and I’d fight anyone they got! Still no answer,” he exclaimed.

Ritch, known for his straightforward and no-nonsense fighting style, attributes his opponents’ hesitancy to his reputation as a veteran who hits hard. “Yes, because they all know I’m a veteran and I hit hard. I have NEVER ducked anyone. I’m always ready to go,” he affirmed.

In addition to his grievances with opponents, Ritch also touched upon his concerns about promotional companies and managers playing a role in fighters avoiding certain matchups. “I think these companies don’t have the money to pay for a signature fight,” he stated.

As the interview continued, Ritch addressed the question of whether this controversy could be a publicity stunt or a way to hype a future bout. “Look at my career. I’ve fought anyone, anywhere, anytime. I love to fight, and I love Bare Knuckle. It’s my one true passion,” he responded, dismissing any notion of a publicity stunt.

When asked about his future plans if the desired fights don’t materialize, Ritch remained optimistic. “I will still live my life doing what I do. I’m filming movies now, but I’d still like 1-2 more fights,” he concluded.

The interview shed light on the challenges and controversies surrounding Shannon Ritch’s fighting career. Whether or not his allegations of opponents “ducking” him hold merit remains a subject of debate in the BK community. Fans will undoubtedly keep a close eye on “The Cannon” to see if his calls for action lead to the long-awaited matchups he seeks.
